is a scenic design student based in Montreal . Her work focuses on the relationship of the human and inhuman, the links between embodiment and consciousness, and the connections and disconnections that bind us to this world.

Design Manifesto

Theatre should come from the pit in our stomachs. The thing that is crying out to be said.Theatre should aim to reshape the world — and the world I want to make is one of caring.Body, mind, spirit, emotion. Psychic space and physical space align in the performance.
The theatre I want to make is the theatre of Truth. Artifice is crucial — it helps show the truth that lies beneath.
The play is not the play. It is the people making it, and the present moment.
That said, the text is foundational — the story you want to tell must comfortably match it.Theatre work is group work —everyone should be heard in the final piece.
The theatre I make will empower trans women and other marginalized people. I want to seepeople basking in being their full selves.
Listening is key. The truth of the play underlies everything, only by opening yourself up can you find it.
Be calm, be collected, be present. When someone tells you something is wrong listen to them.Your job is to support the whole - trust your intuition.

Skills

I primarily work in scenic design, though I have done projection design, lighting design, and dramaturgy and text based new play development work as well.
I love drafting and designing through model, but I think developing a shared language, both verbally and visually is key to any creation process.
